Andover, MA — Nancy A. Starr, 79, of Sarasota, Fla., died on June 26. She was born in New York City, and attended Parsons School of Design. She worked in the fashion industry in Lower Manhattan. She owned and managed successful marketing research companies in several New England states and in Sarasota, where she was a resident for 25 years. She was previously from Andover, where she raised her family.
She was a devoted wife to Charlie Starr, who preceded her in death.
Nancy will be remembered as a loving and dedicated mother, and for her zest for life, her quick wit, and her tireless effort toward helping others.
She leaves behind to cherish the memory of this great lady, four children; son, Michael Starr of Lakeland; daughters, Suzanne and Jennifer; and son, Larry Starr, all of Sarasota; and five grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Nancy’s friends and caregivers for their assistance and support, which is greatly appreciated.
Nancy is remembered not by the number of years she was with us, but rather by the hundreds of hearts that she touched. It is for this reason she will live forever in our memories.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service for Nancy’s friends and family was held on July 3, at St. Martha’s Catholic Church. Gifts in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be offered at www.legacy.com/obituaries/heraldtribune.
