ANDOVER — Antoinette (Fusco) Popadak, of Andover, beloved wife of the late Edward F. Popadak, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was 86-years-old.
Born in Brookline on August 21, 1925, she was the beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Fusco. Mrs. Popadak worked as a die cutter for G.S.F. in Ballardvale for many years and later worked as a Certified Nurse's Aid. She was a member of St. Augustine Church in Andover and sang with the Sunrise Singers of Andover.
She will be sorely missed by her three loving daughters; Kathleen and her husband Henry Mills of Methuen, Christine Popadak Locke and her companion Lawrence Bruce of Epping, New Hampshire and Barbara and her husband Russell LaBarre of Andover, cherished grandchildren; Melina and her husband James Ward, Stacy and her husband Daniel Vail and Toni LaBarre and her significant other Stephen Piercy, dear great-grandchildren; Michael Ward, Damien LaBarre and Josephine Vail and several nieces and nephews. Antoinette was also the loving grandmother of the late Stephen Mills.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be celebrated at Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 N. Main St., Andover, Friday at 1 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, today, Thursday, from 5 to 8 PM. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Andover. Donations in Antoinette's memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 462 Boston Street, Suite 7, Topsfield, MA 01983.
