Boyd, Texas — Jean (Emmert) Pack, 87, born Ellen Eugene Strickland of Ravenscroft, Tenn., passed away Sunday, August 26, at home with her loving family by her side.
She was a longtime resident of Andover and congregation member of South Church. She was an assembly line worker at Packet Research of Andover and cafeteria worker at Andover High School. While living in Andover, Mrs. Pack was known for her selfless dedication to the community and her church. In her retirement she was known to provide assisted living care to members of the congregation and provided childcare to her close friends whose children grew up knowing her as "Auntie Jean". Mrs. Pack's greatest accomplishment by far was her large family. Her children were her pride and joy.
She is predeceased by her first husband, Frank Carl Emmert; son, John Stephen Emmert; second husband, Lucian Pack; and granddaughter, Cassie Joy Emmert.
Survivors include, sons; Frank Emmert and wife, Nelma, Paul Ronald Emmert and wife, Sylvia and David Emmert; 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
