Andover — Clinton S. Shaw, 86, of Andover, died Tuesday, March 19,2013 at Haywood Hospital in Gardner. Clinton was born in Arlington, on July 9,1926, to the late, Clinton D. and Anne (Spaulding) Shaw.
He was a graduate of Punchard High School and Norwich University where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. Clinton was employed by the U.S. government and was based at Red Stone Arsenal at Raytheon in Andover. He served in the U.S. Army in both World War II and the Korean War.
Clinton was a member of the St. Mathew Masonic Lodge AF & AM in Andover and a Shriner with the Aleppo Temple in Wilmington. He was also a member of the Merrimack Valley Masonic Fellowship and the Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Crites) Shaw of Andover; his two daughters, Meridith S. Caiati and her husband, John of Salem, N.H. and Heather S. Aleksonis and her husband, Anthony of Weare, N.H.; his three sons, Clinton W. Shaw and his wife, Judith of Auburn, Wash., John W. Shaw and his wife, Carolyn of Londonderry, N.H. and Wayne S. Shaw and his wife, Alyson of Andover. Also among his survivors are his brother, John T. Shaw and his wife, Judith of Andover; and his two sisters, Arianna Hampton and her husband, Aubrey of Dumont, N.J. and Kathryn DiBennetto of Ormond Beach, Fla; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at South Church in Andover. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover.
