Hanover, NH — Hanover, NH – Frank Lee Hannah, 70, died on April 3, 2013, at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, N.H.
Frank was born in Littleton, N.H., on April 18, 1942, to Selden and Pauline (Lee) Hannah of Sugar Hill, N.H. After graduating from Littleton High School and Dartmouth College Frank obtained a teaching position in mathematics at Hanover High School where he was also coach of the ski team. After two years he returned to Dartmouth College for graduate studies and from there he moved to Philips Academy in Andover, Mass., where he taught and lived until forced to take early retirement due to emerging signs of early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
Frank is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janette Elizabeth Hannah, and three sons, Gordon Johnston Hannah of Pittsburg, Pa., Stewart James Hannah of Lebanon, N.H., and Andrew Binnie Hannah, along with Andrew’s wife, Tara Greenblatt, and their sons, Owen and Felix, of New Ipswich, N.H. Other surviving family members include his sister, Joan Lee Hannah of Sugar Hill, N.H.; his brother, Selden Lee Hannah of Rochester, N.H.; plus several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Lucy Lee Pfosi.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be no calling hours or memorial service. A private burial in Sugar Hill, N.H., is planned at a later date.
