Andover — Mrs. Effie B. (Pappas) Brickman, a resident of Andover for the past 14 years, formerly of Boston, and the beloved wife of Stephen A. Brickman, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on Friday evening, February 21, 2014. She was 52 years old. Born in Boston on March 4, 1961, she was the beloved daughter of Alexandra (Tselios) and the late William Pappas. Mrs. Brickman was a graduate of Suffolk University in Boston, where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Effie was a wonderful wife and mother. She selflessly put her family's and friends' needs before her own. Effie was not only a sympathetic ear to others, she would quietly and quite naturally do for those in need of assistance and comfort without having to be asked. She will be very dearly missed.
In addition to her beloved husband, Stephen, and loving mother, Alexandra, Effie is survived by her children, Alexander E. and Elizabeth M. Brickman of Andover; brothers, Paul, and his wife, Linda Pappas of Methuen, and Angelo Pappas of Boston; and many nieces and nephews.
