Andover — Mary Ann (Goulakos) Kalogianis, 76, of Andover, died Wednesday morning, October 9th at her home surrounded by her loving family following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, October 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Joanna (Behrakis) Goulakos, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1955. Eager to further her education, she also attended the former Lowell State Teacher’s College and Suffolk University.
Before retiring, Mary Ann was employed as a Medical Lab Technician with Lowell General Hospital for many years.
She was a lifelong member of the Hellenic Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity.
Active with her church, Mary Ann was a member and past president of the Ladies of Sparta Pan Laconian Society of Lowell and the Daughters of Penelope. She was also a member of the Holy Trinity Philoptochos Society, the Hellenic Cultural Society, the Tuesday Group and AARP.
Mary Ann is survived by three daughters, Donna Gerace and her husband, Brian, of Attleboro, MA, Tammy Tasiopoulos and her husband, George, of Methuen, MA and JoAnn Nikolopoulos of Nahant, MA; and five grandchildren, Despina and Marianna Tasiopoulos and Theodore, Anastasia and Konstantinos Nikolopoulos.
She was also sister of the late Christos T. Goulakos and the late Peter T. Goulakos and sister-in-law of the late Ethel (Vlahakis) Goulakos.
