Andover, MA — Dorothy Lowe (Santuccio) Bresnahan, 95, of Andover, died on Sunday, April 27. Born Aug. 1, 1918 to the late John E. and Ida (Stoddard) Lowe, the youngest of six children. “Dot” as she was known all her life, grew up in Lawrence, and graduated from the Essex Agricultural School in 1935. She and her first husband, Frank Santuccio, raised their six children in Andover. Several years after his death, Dot married Bernie Bresnahan and created a loving family of 10 adult children. Dot was well-known to many in the town of Andover. She was the Director of Volunteers at Lawrence General Hospital for many years, and an administrative assistant for Andover Pediatrics until her retirement. After her retirement, she devoted her time to numerous volunteer activities, including Hospice of Merrimack Valley, The Camp Fire Girls, The American Red Cross, and The Andover Senior Center. She was the recipient of many awards for outstanding service, including The Virginia Cole Community Service Award in 2006, official citations of recognition and congratulations from the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives, The Counsel on Aging Shining Star Award in 2006, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Andover Triad Council in 2007. All were in recognition of the countless hours and absolute dedication to the cause of improving the life of senior citizens in Andover.

Dot is survived by her children: Ruth Wacome and her husband, Doug of Lexington, Mass., John Santuccio (predeceased by his wife, Peggy and daughter, Lisa) of North Conway, N.H., Ellie Griffin and her husband, Dick of Chocorua, N.H., Barbara McNabb of Satellite Beach, Fla., David Santuccio and his wife, Teri, of Brookline, N.H., and Greg Santuccio and his wife, Debbie of New Hampshire. She is also survived by four stepchildren, Barbara Keenan of Mt.Pleasant, S.C., Karen Slosek and her husband, Lenny of North Andover, Geraldine Bresnahan of Newmarket, N.H., and Christopher Bresnahan and his wife, Karen of Amesbury. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: A celebration of life memorial service will be held at The First Calvary Baptist Church, 586 Massachusetts Ave., North Andover, at noon on Saturday, June 7. All are welcome. Guests will have an opportunity to visit with the family from 11 a.m. to noon, preceding the service.
