Andover — Noah A. Curtin, age 18, of Andover, passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2013.
Noah was the beloved son of Mark and Barbara Curtin. Noah graduated from Andover High School, had completed his freshman year at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and was looking forward to his sophomore year. He had recently become interested in a career in healthcare.
Noah was quiet, loyal, kind and always helpful. He was active in Andover town sports including soccer and Little League. Noah played soccer on the Division 1 town team for several years and also played as a freshman at Andover High. In Little League, Noah led his team to a town title as the starting shortstop and pitcher, even pitching a complete game in the finals. Noah was active in many other sports including skiing, fishing, swimming, and tennis. At summer camp, he won the camp ping-pong championship. Noah enjoyed the time he spent with his extended family at his grandmother's cottage in New Hampshire, and being with the many groups of friends he had over the course of his life.
Noah will be greatly missed by his family; his brother, Nicholas; sister, Sophie; his grandmothers, Violet Curtin and Mary DeManche; his aunt, Beth Bysheim and her husband, Jim, of Anchorage, Alaska; his uncles, Tom Curtin of Andover, and Mike Curtin and his wife, Allyson, and their children Lara and John of Merrimac; his aunt, Judy Curtin of Andover; his uncle, Robert Curtin and his wife, Kris, and their daughter, Liz, of Lakeville, Minn.; his uncle Joseph DeManche and his wife, Pat Drake and their children, Olivia, Paul, and Madeleine, of Cambridge. Noah will also be missed by the many friends he made over his life.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends called on Tuesday, July 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St., Andover, Mass. A funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Augustine's Church in Andover. Burial followed in West Parish Cemetery, Andover.
