Priscilla Marie Lucy, 84

Priscilla M. Lucy, age 84, of Andover, MA passed away at home on Easter Morning, April 8, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Lucy.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Mary Grant. She was predeceased by her brother Rev. Robert H. Grant and a sister Nancy J. Benedict.

Mrs. Lucy attended Peabody Public Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1944. After high school Priscilla attended Salem Sate College and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1948. She taught at Lincoln Junior High, in Malden, MA for 4 years and in Andover at the West Junior High and West Middle School for 25 years before retiring in 1991.

Priscilla lived in Andover for 48 years and was a parishioner of St. Augustine Church in Andover, a member of the Andover Garden Club, Andover Historical Society and Andover Senior Center.

She and her husband were avid golfers and skiers and enjoyed their many family activities associated with their home at Newfound Lake.

Priscilla was devoted to her family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters Dianne and husband George Fotiades of Summit, NJ, Mary Ellen and husband Ted Witman of Andover, sons Robert F. Lucy Jr. and wife Christine of Windham, NH and Richard H. Lucy and wife Nina of Tampa, FL; ten grandchildren Adam, Nicole, and Alexis Fotiades, Ted, Tim and Katie Witman, Kimberly, Alison, Deven and Andrew Lucy; four great-grandchildren Davis, Sarah Cate and Anneliese Witman, and Wyatt Fotiades and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, April 12th at 10AM in St. Augustine’s Church, Andover. Interment will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 in the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence Street, Andover.
