Andover — Ruth G. Muller, 88, died peacefully at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, on November 8, of complications of a stroke she had suffered in May of this year.
Born on October 7, 1925, Ruth was the daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret Grant of Andover. She lived in Andover almost all her life, except for a brief time when she and her young family lived in Honolulu, Hawaii. Ruth graduated from Andover’s Punchard High School in 1944, and worked for over 30 years as the manager of accounts receivable at ITT Semiconductors. Following her retirement in 1990, Ruth volunteered at the Andover High School. She married her husband, Herbert, in Andover in 1947, and they were blessed with 66 years together.
In addition to her husband, Ruth leaves four children, three sons, William and his wife, Christine, of Grafton, Richard and his wife, Ann, of Andover, and James and his wife, Pamela, of Windham, N.H.; and one daughter, Virginia and her husband, Thomas Busta of Andover; 10 loving grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Ruth was a member of the West Parish Church and the Women’s Evening Circle there. She was devoted to her family, frequently hosting family gatherings in her home. Her greatest joys were seeing her children and grandchildren grow and prosper, and attending their activities and athletic events.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends were kindly invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 13, at 11 a.m., in the West Parish Church, Andover. Interment followed in West Parish Garden Cemetery, Andover. Calling hours were held on Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St., Andover.
