Andover — Theresa C. (Bourassa) Frederick, 85, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Frederick.
Born in Wilmington, Mass., on April 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Marie (Bedard) Bourassa. Theresa was a lifelong resident of the Ballardvale section of Andover and attended Wilmington public schools.
She worked as a machine operator for the Packet Research Company in Andover for many years and also had various other jobs over the years, as well as raising her five children.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing bingo, testing her luck on scratch tickets, and trips to Foxwoods. She also liked to place a friendly bet on the Patriot’s games during the football season. Theresa could be best described as outgoing and seemed to be familiar with everyone in town. Her proudest accomplishment was her entire family. They will cherish the memories of all the happy times that they have shared together.
She is survived by her five children, Diane Savoca and her husband, Ronald, Edward Frederick and his wife, Mary, Donald Frederick, James Frederick and his wife, Denise and Maureen Valentine; 13 grandchildren, Maria and Joseph Savoca, Ana Frederick, Emma Devaul, Edward Frederick, James Frederick, Jr., Jason Frederick, Matthew Frederick, Tamara Diaz, Ian Frederick, Jennifer Valentine, Kimberley Malynn and William Valentine; seven great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Brody, Tyler, Connor, Evan, Josiah and Haleigh; a sister, Lucille Tallini; and her brothers, Harry and Donat Bourassa; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Joseph Frederick; two brothers, Paul and Robert Bourassa; and her two sisters, Ann Crocker and Margaret Hickey.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service for Theresa was held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover at 10 a.m. Visiting hours were held on Monday, May 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment was held in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover following the funeral service.
