Andover — Ida (Moraff) Gikow, 93, of Andover and formerly of New Jersey, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill.
She was born in New York City on Nov. 21, 1919, and was the daughter of the late Max and Clara (Kronitz) Moraff.
She was employed as a civilian supply chain specialist in the U.S. Army for many years.
She was the wife of the late Emanuel Gikow, who died on May 28, 1974, and sister of the late Rose Spielvogel.
Her survivors include her children, Michael L. Gikow and his wife, Francine, of Andover, and Jacqueline P. Gikow of New York City; a brother, Norman Moraff of Maryland; grandchildren, Anna M. and Benjamin J. Gikow of Andover; great-granddaughter, Allison M. Gikow; as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her graveside service on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 1 p.m., at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, N.J. There will be no memorial observance. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill and Bradford.
