Lawrence, MA — Luigia "Louise" Fusco, 98, a lifelong native of Lawrence, Mass., who retired after 20 years of service at Lawrence General Hospital, died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014.
Ms. Fusco, a woman of exceptional health, who walked to work and to the stores of Lawrence most of her life, tread lightly through life. She good-naturedly appreciated what she had and always shared generously. Nothing would make her happier than a gathering of family and friends.
Ms. Fusco, daughter of Carmen and Carmella (Parillo) Fusco, was the eldest of eight children. She leaves her beloved brother, John Fusco; and sisters, Anna Vallante, Gilda Connors and Antonetta Sirois. She was the loving aunt of Shelia Fusco, Joanne Klier, Diane Bonanno, Andrew Sirois, Gerard Sirois, Cynthia Sirois-Roberge, John Sirois, Lynne Butterworth, and Gina Ardagna. She will be missed by her many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Frank Fusco; and sisters, Viola and Concetta Fusco.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends were invited to a service celebrating the life of Louise Fusco, which was held at 11 a.m., on Monday, March 31, at Free Christian Church, 31 Elm St., Andover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lawrence General Hospital, or a charity of one's choice.
