Donald Woodman Fogg, 83
Andover, MA — Donald Woodman Fogg, 83, passed away quietly at his home on May 14, 2014, of liver cancer. Donald was born on May 28, 1930 to Eleanor (Russell) and Lloyd W. Fogg in Exeter, N.H. He graduated from Dover High School and Northeastern University in Boston with an associate degree in mechanical engineering. He spent four years in the Air Force, where he became a crew chief on B-47s. When he returned to civilian life, he worked for the labs at Oak Ridge, Tenn., followed by AVCO in Wilmington, Mass., and then became a CADD/CAM applications engineer at Computervision. He was active at Trinitarian Congregational Church in North Andover, their Trinitarian Neighborhood Theatre, the church choir, Merrimack Valley Camera Club, and the 495th R.C. Squadron. He loved the outdoors, especially hiking and sailing. He was a conservation warden for the Avis land in Andover.Continued ...

Townsend — Louann (Page) and Greg Basillio, Tony and Mary Cosentino are sad to say their daughter, Laura Chambers of Townsend, wife of the late Robert Chambers, has passed away after an eight-month battle with lung cancer. She leaves behind her daughters, Sarah and Samantha; brother, Greg Basillio and his wife, Yoleida and daughter, Alexandra. She also leaves her brothers, Joseph, John and sister, Jennifer Cosentino; her loving companion, Sal Finocchiaro and longtime friend, Merideth Robinson. Dorothy Lowe (Santuccio) Bresnahan, 95
Andover, MA — Dorothy Lowe (Santuccio) Bresnahan, 95, of Andover, died on Sunday, April 27. Born Aug. 1, 1918 to the late John E. and Ida (Stoddard) Lowe, the youngest of six children. “Dot” as she was known all her life, grew up in Lawrence, and graduated from the Essex Agricultural School in 1935. She and her first husband, Frank Santuccio, raised their six children in Andover. Several years after his death, Dot married Bernie Bresnahan and created a loving family of 10 adult children. Dot was well-known to many in the town of Andover. She was the Director of Volunteers at Lawrence General Hospital for many years, and an administrative assistant for Andover Pediatrics until her retirement. After her retirement, she devoted her time to numerous volunteer activities, including Hospice of Merrimack Valley, The Camp Fire Girls, The American Red Cross, and The Andover Senior Center. She was the recipient of many awards for outstanding service, including The Virginia Cole Community Service Award in 2006, official citations of recognition and congratulations from the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives, The Counsel on Aging Shining Star Award in 2006, and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Andover Triad Council in 2007. All were in recognition of the countless hours and absolute dedication to the cause of improving the life of senior citizens in Andover.Continued ...

Sandy moved to Tennessee in 2011 to welcome the birth of her first grandchild. As the second oldest of a family with eight children, caring and responsibility was inherent to Carolyn and it was a natural transition for her when she decided to go to nursing school. Lillian was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on March 7, 1930, daughter of Carroll and Lillian Zachrisson. She graduated from Boston Girls’ Latin School in 1947 and from Wellesley College, Phi Beta Kappa, in 1951. Beginning post-graduate work at Union Theological Seminary that fall and doing field work at the East Harlem Protestant Parish, she met Frederic A. Amherst, MA — Marina Kachulis - beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Monday, April 7, at her home in Amherst, Mass. Born in New York City and orphaned at six with her two younger siblings at the height of The Depression, she was raised by various relatives until the age of 17, when she brought the family together and helped her father raise the two younger children. After graduating as the Valedictorian from Girls High School in Brooklyn, she went to work to help support the family. Marina married the love of her life, Bill Kachulis, in 1949. They recently celebrated their 65th anniversary.
