We are pleased with the outcome of Article 52. The amendment to Article 52 that was passed has accomplished clarification of any ambiguity to the existing Historic Preservation Bylaw while continuing to allow a dimensional requirement exception for preservation of historic homes.
The amendment also eliminated the section of Article 52 that would have allowed for exception to dimensional requirements on new construction, which was the cause for concern of overcrowding.
Historic homes can continue to be preserved while still preserving the landscape of the town ... a win-win. Thank you for your support.
