Teen's letter: My first vote will be for Finegold

Editor, Townsman:

I am writing as a current senior at Andover High School and a first time voter. When voting for state senator this election, I will be supporting the candidate who has committed to improving our public school system. State Sen. Barry Finegold has worked hard over the last two years, and his dedication has made a difference. This year, he worked to ensure that Andover received its fair share of local aid. As a result, our town saw the highest allocation of education funding ever in its history.

Senator Finegold cares about students like me. He wants us to receive the best education possible, and he has worked hard to make that a reality. He has also worked to ensure that my generation will graduate into a stronger local economy, so that we can use the education we receive at Andover High and beyond to contribute to the workforce.

I am proud that my first vote in a general election will be for State Sen.Barry Finegold, and I look forward to seeing what good things he can bring to our town in the years to come.
