Nick Schumacher placed first overall in 16:53 as Andover took the top four spots in downing Tewksbury (16-47) and Billerica (15-50) last Wednesday. Scott Waller (16:58), Simon Voorhees (17:04) and Andrew Speen (17:29) were places 2-4 and Ryan Cooney was sixth.

Field Hockey
Gross, Andover win eighth straight
Cat Gross and Heather Sullivan each scored a goal as Andover held off Tewksbury 2-1 for its eighth consecutive win. Abby Cook and Sarah Oteri each had an assist, and Tameka Geaslen made four saves for the winners.

Andover scored twice in the second half in a 2-1 victory over Bishop Fenwick on Saturday. The team's two leading scorers, Heather Sullivan and Sarah Oteri, each recorded a goal with Abby Cook and Laura Harker both assisting once for the Golden Warriors (8-1). Tameka Geaslen made four saves in the win.

Heather Sullivan notched her first career hat trick, leading Andover to a 6-0 drubbing of Lawrence last Thursday. Sarah Oteri, Ally Long and Melanie Saryan each scored a goal, Laura Harker contributed two assists, and Leah Cairns, Abby Cook, Laura Dimitruk and Vanessa Kelly all assisted once.

Algiers, Andover bounce back in style
Jackie Algiers won the 100 freestyle (1:02.82) and swam on the winning 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays as Andover downed Notre Dame 93-81 on Friday. Audrey Hansen added a win in the 100 butterfly and swam on the 200 medley relay along with Jess Mancini, who won the 100 backstroke for the Golden Warriors (4-1-1).

Andover made it three wins in a row by downing Methuen 4-0 last Thursday. Josh Torres, Andrew Pallotta, Alex Dumitrescu and Kaelan Crawford each scored a goal, and Tom McQuillan and Alex Golan each added an assist for the Golden Warriors (3-2-3). Andrew Osborne made three saves in the shutout.

Despite a goal each from Sam Percival and Kevin Moran, Andover fell to rival North Andover 3-2 on Saturday. Randy Sartor added an assist for the Golden Warriors.

Rebecca Johnson notched 23 digs as Andover bested Notre Dame 25-13, 25-20, 19-20, 25-13 last Wednesday. Kirsten Arvidson added 16 kills for the Golden Warriors.

Despite 12 kills from Kirsten Arvidson, Andover fell to powerhouse Lawrence 25-22, 25-20, 25-18 on Friday. It made the Golden Warriors 4-5 for the season.

Boudreau, Andover keep cruising
Nicole Boudreau continued her stellar freshman season with a 1-up win to help Andover down Billerica 15-5 for the second straight day on Friday. Sean Burke, Eric Hooker and Armando McLaughlin each added a win for the Golden Warriors (10-0-1).

Sean Burke fired an outstanding 33 to win 5 and 4 and lead Andover to a 15-5 win over Billerica last Thursday. Mike Todisco won his match 3 and 2 and Dave Gilbert won 3 and 2 for the undefeated Warriors.
