Free rowing club open house on Saturday

Essex Rowing Club Inc. is hosting a free open house on Saturday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can meet the coaches and learn about the programs offered by Essex Rowing this summer and fall.

No experience is necessary and all fitness levels are welcome. For more information about summer programs visit the club's website atessexrowing.org.

Martin's improvement highlighted at Notre Dame banquet

Athletes involved in the high school athletic programs at the Academy of Notre Dame's were toasted at the school's annual Athletics Banquet held at Lenzi's Restaurant in Dracut

The track and field Most Improved Performer was sophomore Colleen Martin of Andover.

The Academy of Notre Dame is a private, Catholic co-educational Pre-K-grade 8 elementary and middle school and a college-preparatory high school for young women sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and based upon the philosophy of their foundress, St. Julie Billiart.
