Rose, Casey season’s last Fortnight Players
The final two winners of this season’s Player of the Fortnight award are varsity basketball players Griffin Rose and Alyssa Casey.
Andover High boys coach Dave Fazio describes Rose as “a great addition to our team as a transfer this season. He’s been a great practice player, a hard worker and a very unselfish team player. Griffin contributes a lot to our team’s camaraderie. He’s an important member of our team.”
Andover High girls coach E.J. Perry describes Casey as “a freshman who has had a tremendous first season for us. She’s been scoring and rebounding well. She has really improved, and she’s working hard every game. Alyssa is an excellent student and one of the real leaders in her class.”
The weekly Player of the Fortnight Award, sponsored by Ronald R. Hill of Baystate Financial in Andover, was started about 15 years ago to recognize Andover High varsity basketball players who show great spirit and effort.
