David had 19 points in the opening win over Lawrence, but he saved his best for last in the 72-68 win over rival Central Catholic last Saturday, scoring 27 while copping MVP honors. Coach David Fazio on Giribaldi: “He’s one of the toughest kids I’ve coached in 25 years. He came through and made big shot after big shot. He’s an amazing player.”

Girls basketball

She scored 13 points in two games at the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic, but her worth is much more than is shown on the scoreboard. She’s the heart and soul of the team. We have a lot of work to do and will be leaning on Rebecca and her experience.”
