Prakash, McConnell use long ball to lead Andover American

Jakoby Stanley had hitters guessing, striking out seven over five innings to boost Andover American past North Andover National 12-3 last Wednesday, July 2, in District 14 pool play.

Amogh Prakash led a long-ball attack with a three-run home run, while Max Byron had a two-run homer and Patrick McConnell added a solo blast. Alex Weinreb relieved Stanley and shut the door with a 1-2-3 sixth inning to close out the win.


Patrick McConnell hit two home runs to help Andover American top Billerica National 13-2 last Tuesday, July 1. Amogh Prakash remained red-hot with a two-run homer.


Evan Doherty and Michael Slayton each knocked home runs to lead Andover National to a 17-1 drubbing of Tewksbury American last Monday, June 30.

Andrew Kennefick added a pair of hits, Jacob Lapp and Sean Sullivan each stood out on the mound and Alex Lane excelled at first base for the winners.


Amogh Prakash blasted a grand slam to help Andover American roll over Billerica American 17-7 last Sunday, June 29. Jakoby Stanley, Patrick McConnell and Jake Clinard combined for the win on the mound.

Andover National couldn’t bounce back from a tough first inning this past Sunday, falling to North Andover American 14-4.
