Krinsky, Walsh clutch for Legion

Legion baseball

Stepping onto the mound in the toughest spot in baseball, the bases loaded and nobody out, Max Krinsky was pitch perfect. The sophomore-to-be got a pop-out and two ground ball outs to lock down Andover Legion’s 9-5 victory over Middleton last Wednesday, July 10.

Andrew Bruno led the Post 8 attack, notching four hits and three RBIs. Jimmy Walsh chipped in with a pair of hits and drove in a run, while Andrew Selima tripled home two runs and was the winning pitcher.

Andrew Nason starred behind the plate and threw out a runner trying to steal.

Ben Murphy pitched an eight-inning complete game, striking out six and walking just one as Andover played Haverhill to a 2-2 tie last Tuesday, July 9. Andrew Deloury accounted for all of Post 8’s offense with a two-run double in the first.

Andover fell to Lawrence 6-2 last Thursday, July 11.
