Concussion expert to speak on head injuries

Ann McKee, one of the leading authorities in the nation in the area of head injuries and concussions, will speak at Merrimack College on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 4:30 p.m. in the Sakowich Campus Center in the Murray Lounge on the second floor, 315 Turnpike St., North Andover.

The public is welcome to this free lecture.

An internationally known and respected medical doctor, McKee is director of neuropathology at New England Veterans Health Care System, and professor of neurology and pathology at Boston University School of Medicine. She is also director of Brain Banks and co-director of the Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy.

The lecture, sponsored by the Department of Health Sciences, School of Science and Engineering at Merrimack College, should be of interest to athletic directors, coaches, high school athletes, parents, doctors and others interested in the subject, according to the school.
