Fidelity House is holding its annual Golf Open and Fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 9, at Haverhill Country Club. The event, which will include food, awards and raffles, marks Fidelity House’s 42nd anniversary. Proceeds will help fund programs and services throughout the Merrimack Valley for more than 700 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Golf benefit for asthma and allergies

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter, based in Needham, will hold its annual charity golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 16, at Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead. Proceeds support the organization’s education programs, including a regional support group for the Merrimack Valley.

Debbie Saryan of Andover, who is the executive director of AAFA New England, says there are still spots open for golfers. Those who don’t golf are invited to the cocktail reception and dinner in Tedesco’s new clubhouse.

The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, New England Chapter is the leading local nonprofit organization that helps people live active, healthy lives with asthma and allergies, including food allergies.

Red Cross to tee off for disaster relief

Join the American Red Cross of Northeast Massachusetts for a day of golf to support disaster relief efforts at the 16th annual Golf Classic on Monday, Sept. 16, at Turner Hill Club in Ipswich.

This year, golfers and non-golfers alike can enter the Masters Drawing for a trip to the final rounds of the 2014 Masters, including three-night hotel stay for two, airfare, ground entrance badges to the Masters and more. Tickets are $100; only 300 will be sold.

The Golf Classic begins at 11 a.m. with registration and lunch, followed by a shotgun start at noon. Following golf, a dinner, awards ceremony, drawing, raffles and auctions will be held. To register, visit or contact Kim O’Hare at or 978-922-2224.
