Panneton leads the way for field hockey team

Panneton delivers in new role for AHS field hockey team

“Scoring a goal makes me feel like I can do anything. I love to feel like I can change the scoreboard and change the game. But when you stop a ball, you also feel like you accomplished something.”

Next fall, Panneton will be continuing her field hockey career at Merrimack College. The school already feels like home, and not only because it is just moments away from her actual home.

“When I was little, I used to play hockey games at Merrimack College all the time,” she said. “We would go to some of the men’s hockey games, too, and I even went to a few field hockey games.

“I had started to look at attending Merrimack last spring. Then I went to a play-day there. Coach (Anne) Rounce is phenomenal. She is a lot like coach Noone. We talked and she told me she totally wanted me to play there and really drew me in. I just loved it.

“But first I want to win another championship for Andover.”
