Rugby has arrived
The Andover high school rugby club team celebrates its win over Milton 8-0 Tueday afternoon. Tri-scorer was Jay Salerno and kicking the three pointer was Eric Wybenga. The rugby club will play again on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. behind the Doherty Middle School.
The process usually goes like this: local teens have a great idea about a new sports team and they approach Andover Youth Services in hopes of getting support.

An Andover wrestling team was relaunched that way and now Andover High School has a wrestling team again. -
Memorial Hall Library plans 'Dream' summer
Residents are invited to "Dream Big" with Memorial Hall Library this summer as it launches its 2012 summer reading program "Dream Big - Read!" on June 18.

I blew a gasket the other day.

Although the expression, "don't blow a gasket" was once more popular than it is today, it still applies to someone who is losing his temper. The expression originated from revving an engine so high it was damaged. Well, my engine got revved by Apple and Verizon, two of the biggest companies in the world, and, after dealing with them for six hours by phone, it culminated at the counter of a Verizon store — nowhere near Andover — where I'd purchased a defective Apple iPhone. There, after a brief discussion with a young male clerk, I put my hands on the counter, leaned forward toward him and said, "I'm going to stand here until you take care of this, and I'll stand here all day if I have to. Do you understand me?" There were other words interspersed in my declaration that are not printable in a family newspaper. - All Those Years Ago
