A big crowd turned out last Saturday night to support Friends of the Andover Dog Park’s efforts to give canines in town a place of their own.
The fundraiser — billed as “Unleashed” — featured a busy night of silent and live auctions, raffles, appetizers, drinks, desserts and live entertainment at Andover Country Club.
Proceeds will go toward the completion of an outdoor recreation area near the Bald Hill Conservation property on High Plain Road for dogs, their owners and anyone who enjoys the company of dogs. The friends of the park, a group of private citizens, hopes construction on the public dog park will begin this spring.
