The Andover Townsman
---- — Rocking hair
Eric Howard, owner of Planet Color Hair Salon in Andover, will be donating his professional services to the Boston chapter of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s “Rock Your World” fashion show fundraiser on Monday, Sept. 30, at The Hard Rock Café in Boston.
Howard has been doing hair in Andover for more than 20 years and has routinely supported nonprofit efforts in the region.
Next week’s fashion show will benefit two Boston-area charities: Cradles to Crayons and Bottom Line. And it is already sold out.
Drop and go
Memorial Hall Library on North Main Street is making book returns more convenient with its new drive-up return box in the library parking lot.
The Essex Street return site at the back of the library is closing in favor of the new drive-up system, which staffers say is not only more convenient, but safer.
The drive-up return box is for library materials only; donations to the library should still be dropped off in the lower-level lobby.
Library materials also can still be returned at the circulation desk or in the children’s room.
