BoomerVenture

BoomerVenture is a series of activities created by and for Andover’s baby-boomers sponsored by the town of Andover and the Center at Punchard. Community members are welcome to all events.

People can call for information at 978-623-8321 or visit boomerventure.com. The BoomerVenture Campus located at 30 Whittier Court, the ground floor of the School Administration Building behind Town Offices and next to the Park.

There will be a special event, BoomerVenture, Plans and Dreams on Feb. 7, starting at 6:30 p.m. Join us to discuss the future of Andover’s unique 50+ BoomerVenture program. We’ll share coffee and dessert and then afterward view the controversial, award-winning documentary “Wei Wei: Never Sorry.” Please RSVP to let us know you will join us or give us feedback at kpaynetaylor@andoverma.gov.

Registration begins Feb. 11 for next series of classes.

BOOMER ENERGIZE WITH EXERCISE

Mondays, Feb. 25 to May 13 at 3:30 p.m. $60. OR Thursdays, Feb. 28 to May 16 at 6 p.m. $65. Great aerobic workout without going to the gym. Weight training, stretching and brief meditation included.

BOOMER ZUMBA INTERVALS

Thursdays, Feb. 28 to May 16 at 3:30 p.m. $65. Combine weight training and cardio fitness as you dance to Afro-Caribbean music and Latin beats, with flamenco, belly dance, rock and hip hop.

SERENITY YOGA

Thursdays, Feb. 28 to May 16 at 7:30 p.m. $65. A practice of gentle flowing postures that warm and open the body while quieting the mind. A soothing practice for anyone looking to slow things down. No previous yoga experience required. Each class will conclude with meditation. Welcome new instructor: Sheila Wescott.

BOOMERBRIDGE: Bridge Beyond the Basics: Stayman, Transfers and Big Hands. Feb. 25 to May 13 from 10 to noon. 9 classes for $150.

BOOMERVENTURE SCREENING ROOM

Thursday night movies start at 7 p.m. unless noted, with film discussion and food to purchase starting at 6:30 p.m. Call 24 hours prior to order a light dinner.
