Proper diet

for seniors

On Thursday afternoon, Feb. 7 from noon to 2 p.m., the Sisterhood of Temple Emanuel will host its seniors for the program, “Nutrition for Seniors.” People can join a nutritionist to learn about selecting the best foods for them.

Temple Emanuel is located at 7 Haggetts Pond Road in Andover. For more information, visit the congregation’s website at www.templeemanuel.net or call the temple office at 978-470-1356.

Dinner and a movie

On Sunday, Feb. 10 at 5 p.m., Temple Emanuel of Andover will have its Deli Dinner and Movie Discussion Night.

“The Lemon Tree” is about a home that borders Israel and Palestine. A widow tends a family lemon grove. When the Israeli defense minister moves in next door to her, the security detail wants to destroy it. The movie details finding justice from two opposite cultures and sides of the fence. It is based upon a true story.

Join temple members as they watch the movie and then “have an interesting and provocative discussion while we enjoy our great deli supper,” say organizers. The cost is $15 per person. Your reservation is your check to be received by today, Thursday, Feb. 7. Temple Emanuel is located at 7 Haggetts Pond Road in Andover. Visit templeemanuel.net or call 978-470-1356 for any further information.
