Treasure trove at Antiques Adventure

The Andover Senior Community Friends drew a crowd of people hoping to find value in their treasures to its “Let’s Talk Antiques” fundraiser last month at The Center at Punchard.

Certified appraiser Ron Wackowski scrutinized, judged and appraised approximately 31 curios in a two-hour period. Wackowski owns and operates The Queen’s Falcon, an antique shop in Lawrence, and has been involved with the antique trade for more than 40 years.

Among the items Wackowski evaluated was an old jug with a “Ballardvale” stamp on the bottom that was in excellent condition. It was found to have some value beyond its historic appeal.
