The Andover Townsman
---- — Former Andover resident Steve Paradis’ reign as interim executive director of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy will be short-lived.
The organization’s board of directors has appointed Ronald J. Tipton as the new executive director/CEO to lead the conservancy beginning in late August.
Paradis, a native of Andover who previously served as chief operating officer of the organization, was tapped to fill in at the helm while the board sought a permanent replacement. He has served the West Virginia-based conservancy for the past 10 years, initially as a member of the board and later a senior staff member.
