Free tax preparation: AARP-trained tax preparation volunteers are available by appointment.
New Age Organizing: On Thursdays, Feb. 9 and 16, 2 p.m., for $16, people can learn about what is known as New Age Feng Shui, green organizing and internal organizing from Susan Walko, professional organizer. The center says, "Harmonize the flow of life-energy through the house, lessening environmental impact, and balancing individual energy."
Five Biggest Mistakes of Investing: Learn the big five from Robert Aziz, financial advisor, on Friday, Feb. 10 at 9:30 a.m. The event is free.
Valentine's Brunch: On Sunday, Feb. 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. enjoy hot entrees, omelets to order, waffles, bacon, fruit and more. Piano music will be provided by Michael Kirsch and the cost is $10.
High Tea and History: In collaboration with the Andover Historical Society, the center is offering a free presentation on Andover history next Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. People can learn about "The November Club," which was Andover's first women's club.
Men's Breakfast: For $4, on Friday, Feb. 17, at 8:30 a.m. people can hear a presentation about the history and archeology of the Merrimack Valley, presented by Eugene Winter of the R.S. Peabody Museum.
Trip to National Heritage Museum in Lexington: This Friday, Feb. 24 event from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. includes transportation, admission, tour and lunch, for $48.
Art Instructional: Instruction on a variety of painting medium will be offered on Mondays, Feb. 27 to May 14 at 1 p.m. each day, at $66 for the 11-week series. All levels of painters are welcome, and they will learn from teacher Georgia Renfroe. There will be an open studio Wednesdays and Thursdays during that time frame, from 9 to noon.
New semester registration begins for all 12-week classes, including BoomerVenture, on Feb. 13. Basic Spanish, guided meditation, woodcarving and a large variety of exercise options are available at the Andover Senior Center, 30 Whittier Court.
