Senior center activities

The Andover Senior Center, located at 30 Whittier Court, on the first floor of the School Administration Building, is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration is required for all events, which are open to community, pending space. For more information, visit andoverseniorcenter.org or call 978-623-8321.

Events include:

GRILL NIGHTS:

Wednesday evenings, Aug. 8 and 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. Advance reservations required. Hot dogs, grilled chicken and burgers will be available each night, along with weekly specials like steak tips and grilled shrimp. Entre prices range from $4.50 to $9 and include side dishes, dessert and beverages.

LOBSTER ROLL LUNCHEON:

Monday, Aug. 6 at 1 p.m. for $9. Tickets will be available starting July 25 and must be purchased in advance. This is not part of the center’s regular lunch.

FLOWER PHOTOGRAPHY:

“Pose Your Posy, Snap Your Snapdragon,” presented by Jack Holmes professional photographer, on Wednesdays, Aug. 8 and 15, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., for $20.

SHARE THE OLYMPIC FLAME:

Friday, Aug. 10, 1:30 p.m; $5. Two-time Olympian fencer Molly Sullivan will share her experiences leading up to the Olympics.

SHOPPING FOR HEALTHY EATING:

Free program on Friday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m.

MANAGING SWALLOWING PROBLEMS IN ADULTS:

Free program on Friday, Aug. 17 at 9:30 a.m.

NORTH SHORE MUSIC THEATRE’S ALL SHOOK UP:

$55 includes ticket and transportation to show on Thursday, Aug. 23. Leave at 12:15 p.m. and return approximately 5:30 p.m. In this hilarious new musical, “The Music Man” meets James Dean, set to the unforgettable hits of Elvis Presley.
