BoomerVenture

The fall schedule for BoomerVenture,Andover’s program of activities created by and for baby-boomers, is now available. The BoomerVenture campus is expanding in September and an open house on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. will offer class demonstrations, food, chair massages, a movie and a chance for people to register.

Pre-registration is requested for all classes by dropping by or sending a check payable to “The Town of Andover.” Newcomers are always welcome to try a class for free! All classes held at 30 Whittier Court, on the ground floor of the School Administration Building.

BoomerVenture is a series of activities created by and for Andover’s baby-boomers sponsored by the town of Andover and the Andover Senior Center.

BoomerVenture Screening Room

BoomerVenture independent movie series begins

Sept. 13

at 6:30 p.m. with “Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.” Check the website for the weekly movie selection.

Energize with Exercise

Mondays, Aug. 27 through Nov. 5, at 3:30 p.m. OR Thursdays, Sept. 13 to Nov. 15 at 6 p.m.; $50; aerobic, weight training and stretching workout.

Zumba

Thursdays, Sept. 13 to Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m.; $50. Cardio fitness with a Latin flair plus Afro-Caribbean, flamenco, belly dance, rock and hip hop.

Tai Chi and Qigong

Thursdays, Sept. 13 to Nov. 15, 7:30 p.m.; $45.

Boomer Bridge—Let’s Play!

Beginners:

Mondays, Sept. 10 – Nov. 5, 10 a.m.; $129. Learn to play. Lessons feature discussion plus playing.

Convention Corner:

Mondays, Sept. 10 – Nov. 5, 1:30 p.m;. $140. Seven conventions social and duplicate players can’t live without! One new convention weekly.

Planning for Medicare—Countdown to 65

Thursday, Sept. 20, 7 pm; free. Come find out when and how to enroll.

Organizing Office, Home,and Life@text1:

Thursday, Oct. 11, 18 and 25, 7 pm;

$10 each or $25 for all three. Run by professional organizer Susan Walko.

Jewelry-making Workshop

Thursday, Nov. 8; 6:30; $18; Learn the basics; beads, tools and wire provided. Run by artist and sculptor Georgia Renfroe.
