Isabel Marble, a 9-year-old Andover girl who just completed third grade at South Elementary School, is the latest Andover youth to offer a bit of herself to help a sick child.
To start off the summer, Isabel donated 10 inches of her hair to the Locks of Love program, according to her mother Andrea Marble.
Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that creates hairpieces for financially disadvantaged children who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss, frequently as the result of an auto-immune condition called alopecia areata or the resulting affect of cancer treatments.
Andover residents who would like to share information about the good deeds of their children can send the news to email@example.com. Digital photos should be sent as high resolution images, emailed as jpg attachments.
