Recognize a volunteer who helps elders in Andover

Know an Andover person who goes above and beyond to help seniors in the community? You can nominate them for an award.

The Andover Council on Aging is accepting nomination for its 2013 Shining Star Award. This award was established in 2005 to recognize a person or people each year for extraordinary service on behalf of the seniors of Andover.

Individuals of any age are eligible and nominations can be made by anyone. Forms and ballot boxes are available in the lobby of the Andover Senior Center, now known as the Center at Punchard. They are also available at Old Town Hall at 20 Main St. or the Town Offices building at 36 Bartlet St. All nominations must be submitted by Friday, March 29.

The Council on Aging will make its decision and present the award at the Annual Volunteers’ Reception April 26.
