Exhibits covering exercise information to healthy lifestyle habits to health care options, will be featured at a free Living Healthy Fair set for Thursday, May 16, at the Andover Senior Center at Punchard.
The fair is the major event in the Living Healthy series being held during May to commemorate Older Americans Month.
The fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Center, located at 30 Whittier Court.
“I must emphasize that the fair is open to the public,” said Annmary Connor, director of the Senior Center at Punchard. “There's a special emphasis on seniors, their caregivers and families.
“Our primary mission is to serve the growing elder population in Andover but we realize the important roles played by daughters, sons, and other primary caregivers," she said. "We are offering a free ‘Grab and Go’ lunch in hopes of making it more convenient for families and friends to attend.”
She said the generosity of several sponsors is making the Living Healthy Fair possible, including Brightview North Andover, Assisting Hands Home Care, Senior Whole Health, Stone Hill at Andover, Northeast Rehabilitation Network, Burns & Levinson, and HearingLife.
Over 30 sponsors will provide information on housing alternatives, family resources, financial and legal services, wellness health checks, and senior nutrition.
Details of the Living Healthy Fair are being coordinated by the Andover Senior Center at Punchard in collaboration with the Andover Senior Community Friends who will be holding a raffle and membership drive.
