Teen Poetry Contest Opens

From Wednesday, March 13 to Wednesday, April 3, teens in grades 6 through 12 can submit up to three poems at https://poetry.mhl.org/ Prizes and honorable mentions will be awarded at our reception on May 7 at 7 p.m. Call 978-623-8432 or email ya@mhl.org for more information.

British Candy Taste Test

Free Practice SAT Exam Administered by the Princeton Review

On Saturday, March 23 at 9:15 a.m., teens can take a free, full-length practice SAT exam. Bring a pencil and a calculator that is not a phone. It is a full-length test, so teens should bring a snack. College and Financial Aid with Jim Femia

On Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m., teens and parents/caregivers can hear Jim Femia, certified college planning specialist talk about financial aid eligibility, how to avoid mistakes on the FAFSA, and more. Fridays, March  8, 15, 22 and 29 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. – Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Join us in the Activity Room to play Super Smash Brothers on our Nintendo Switch.

Monday, March 18 at 4 p.m. – Volunteen Advisory Board meeting: Talk about teen programming, help the librarians with crafts and other projects, and get volunteer hours.

Tuesdays, March 12, 19, and 26 at 6 p.m. - Teen Movie Nights: Watch a movie in the Teen Room! Call the Teen Room desk at 978-623-8463 for each night’s title.

Thursday, March 21 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Dungeons & Dragons for Teens: Create a character and learn about tabletop RPGs at 2:30 p.m. or come for the campaign’s start at 3 p.m. All in grades 6 through 12 are welcome; no RPG experience or registration necessary.

Monday, March 14 at 3 p.m. – Candy Rainbow: Teens can put together their own mixed bag of rainbow-colored candy.

Monday, March 25 at 3 p.m. – Random Fandom: Captain Marvel: Geek out over the recent Captain Marvel movie and make some cool Marvel crafts.

Wednesday, March 27 at 3 p.m. – Giant-sized coloring: Relax and color in our jumbo coloring sheets!

Thursday, March 28 at 3 p.m. – Craft buffet: Missed a craft this month or just want to use our craft supplies? Sample our supplies and let your creativity run wild!
