Mosaics with Leslie

Teens can make a sun catcher mosaic on Monday, July 16, at 2 p.m.

Songwriting bootcamp

Teens can participate in the library's Songwriting Bootcamp, held in partnership with the Andover Real School of Music, on Monday, July 23, from 1 to 5 p.m.

This program will teach teens some of the basics of songwriting and give them a chance to write their own.

Ukulele workshop

Musician Julie Stepanek will teach teens the basics of the ukulele on Monday, July 30, at 1 p.m. 

Teens will learn some core chords that will allow them to play many different songs. Ukuleles will be provided.

Hogwarts orientation

Teens can get ready for their first year at Hogwarts on Tuesday, July 31, at 3 p.m.

Attendees will get sorted by the Sorting Hat, learn basic potions, and more to prepare them for their wizarding journey.

Summer reading club is underway

The goal of the Teen Summer Reading Club is to challenge teens to read five books this summer or for 10 hours. Teens who achieve this goal will receive a prize pack with a free book, a pencil, coupons for local businesses, and a raffle ticket for grand prize drawings.

The club will run through Friday, Aug. 17.

Volunteen Advisory Board (VAB): Tuesday, July 17, 3:15 p.m. Teens can make the library better and get volunteer hours by helping teen librarians plan programs, give suggestions, and make craft projects.

Teen Movie Nights: Tuesdays, July 17, 23 and 31, 6 p.m. Watch a movie in the Teen Room. Call the Teen Room desk at 978-623-8463 for each night’s title.

Faux Enamel Pins: Wednesday, July 18, 3 p.m. Custom-make enamel pins with Shrinky Dinks. Register at

Slime-Making on the Roof Deck: Tuesday, July 24, 3 p.m. Make slime on the roof deck; weather permitting.

Teen DIY Nail Art: Friday, July 27, 3 p.m. Try out some nail art stencils or techniques in the Teen Room, or roof deck depending on the weather, for some DIY manicures.
