Brides Across America is opening a new charity shop on North Main Street.
The nonprofit gives weddings and wedding dresses to veterans, first-responders and their significant others. The grand opening of the 342 North Main St. shop will be held on Thursday, July 12, at 11 a.m. There will be an opening ceremony, a ribbon-cutting and light refreshments.
Across the country, there have been more than 750 "Operation Wedding Gown" events where wedding dresses have been donated by partnering bridal salons since 2008. The nonprofit paid for more than 25 weddings.
