Explore the Children’s Room and find a universe
Young readers through grade 5 will explore all things space this summer as the Children’s Room presents “A Universe of Stories!” Activities will include story times, school age programs, guest performers, trivia games, prize drawings, and of course reading. This year we are introducing a new game for the children to play for each reading log they complete. Prizes will be drawn weekly. Registration for “A Universe of Stories” begins on Monday, June 17. The program will run for nine weeks, and will end on Saturday, Aug. 17. All programs are free of charge. For more information, call the library at 978-623-8440 or visit our website, www.mhl.org .
Join the 2019 Teen Summer Reading Club
Are you a reader going into grades 6-12? Join MHL's Teen Summer Reading Club. Read any five books of your choice or for 10 hours and track them on your reading log. After you meet this goal, talk to a librarian to receive your first prize, a pack of coupons from local businesses, a raffle ticket for our grand prize drawing, a free book and a pencil. For each additional five books or 10 hours read, you get an extra grand prize raffle ticket. The grand prize raffle items are on our website https://mhlteenroom.tumblr.com/summerreading. Teens choose which raffle they want to enter. The first day to pick up reading logs is June 17. The first day to collect prizes is June 24. The last day to enter raffles is Aug. 17. The Teen Summer Reading Club program is sponsored by Memorial Hall Library and the Friends of Memorial Hall Library, along with Chipotle Mexican Grill, Domino’s Pizza and McDonald’s.
