Allen Combs conducts the Andover Choral Society and Orchestra during its 2009 performance of "Elijah" at the Rogers Center for the Arts.

The Andover Choral Society invites new members to join the group as choral singers for its 82nd season. It is open to all voices.

The group holds its rehearsals on Mondays, from 7:20 to 9:30 p.m., at Christ Church, 25 Central St., Andover.

Past performances have included Verdi's "Messa da Requiem," Handel's "Messiah," J. S. Bach's "Mass in B-Minor," Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis," as well as works by other masters.

The Andover Choral Society's January 2012 concert will feature Brahms' "German Requiem." The concert will highlight soloists and an orchestra. The spring 2012 concert will be a gala performance of Viennese Masterworks by Mozart. The concerts are performed at the Rogers Center for the Arts on the campus of Merrimack College.

Both concerts will be conducted by Music Director Allen Combs, who is in his 22nd season with the ensemble.
