How do I register?
Registrations will be accepted online at www.runforthetroops5k.com until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 3. Race day registration starts at 7:30 a.m. in the Doherty Middle School cafeteria, 33 Bartlet St., Andover. The cost is $30. A shirt is guaranteed to everyone who registers by March 26.
I’m already registered, where can I pick up my bib number and shirt?
On race day, you can pick up your bib number and shirt in the Doherty Middle School cafeteria, 33 Bartlet St.
If you would prefer to beat the crowd, you can collect your bib number and shirt on Friday, April 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, April 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Century Bank, 15 Elm St., Andover.
If you are on a team with 20 or more members by March 19, the shirts will be mailed to the team’s contact person. All other teams may pick up their shirts April 4 and 5 at Century Bank or at Doherty Middle School on race day.
Where do I wear my bib number?
You must wear your bib number on your front torso and it must be visible when you cross the finish line. Do not wear the bib on your back.
You must not bend or fold your bib as it contains the race timing device that will record your finish. No bib number, no finish time.
May I give my bib number to someone else?
That is not allowed. If you do, you cause the scoring to be inaccurate for the age and gender category of the person to whom the bib was issued. Taking someone else’s bib number could possibly deprive others in the age and gender category from being eligible for awards they may have qualified for. It also causes insurance implications for the event.
I’m not a runner? Can I still offer my support?
