They came from across the Merrimack Valley and shared a common message: peace and equality to all.

It was the message preached in the 1960s by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a sentiment that endures today and is prominent on Martin Luther King Day.

That message was at the heart of the NAACP's annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast in Andover on Monday.

The event was packed with spiritual, political and social leaders from across the Valley.
