Because of budget reductions within the Internal Revenue Service, income tax instruction booklets will no longer be available at Memorial Hall Library this filing season.

The budget cuts will affect both the selection and amount of tax forms that can be found at the library, 2 North Main St.

The library will have copies of the 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ tax forms. Taxpayers can also print tax forms and instructions from www.irs.gov/Forms-&-Pubs.

One copy of Publication 17 will be available for use at the library. Taxpayers can also access Publication 17 in English and Spanish online from irs.gov/Pub17. It will also be available as a free e-Pub for downloading from irs.gov and viewing on most electronic and mobile devices.

Publication 1132 and 4604 will also be available; taxpayers should use the web for IRS tax products and information.

Individuals may call 800-829-1040 to order forms or seek instruction or live telephone assistance. Businesses can obtain assistance by calling 800-829-4933. For people with hearing impairments, call 800-829-4059. Phone assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
