Police last week made an arrest in a January break at the Wyndham Hotel on Old River Road in Andover.

David Nichols, 18, of 38 Woodland St., Lawrence, was arrested on an outstanding warrant in connection with the case.

On Jan. 7, Andover police responded to a breaking and entering of an executive office at the hotel in which a laptop computer and other office supplies were reported taken, police said.

During his investigation, Detective Kevin Aufiero uncovered fingerprints that led police to Nichols and another suspect, according to a press release. The stolen items have been recovered, police said.

Nichols was arrested by Andover Police Department detectives, with assistance from the Lawrence Police Department.

Police later discovered Nichols also had a warrant out of Salem, N.H., and he was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice.

An arrest warrant was issued last week for the second suspect in the break, police said. Aufiero is continuing the investigation into the incident.
