Have a hankering for Greek food and culture? This weekend’s Greek Festival 2013 at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Andover should satisfy the cravings.
This year’s event at the church at 71 Chandler Road will feature something for everyone. There will be a wide selection of Greek food and pastry for sale, plus cooking demonstrations, music by Orfeas, a Greek dancing exhibition, Greek marketplace and children’s activities that will include an exotic creature show and face painting.
Tours of the church, including a look at its new iconography project, are also planned.
The annual fundraiser draws hundreds, with proceeds supporting church activities.
Festival hours are Saturday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event goes off rain or shine. Free parking and a shuttle service will be available.
