Arrest: Sauma Deb, 26, of Londonderry, New Hampshire, was arrested for an outstanding, foreign (out of jurisdiction, not country) warrant. Andover Police found out about the warrant when Deb came into the station to pick up his passport, North Main Street, 4:26 p.m.

Arrest: William Bailey, 47, of Longwood Drive was arrested for violating probation, Longwood Drive, 9:03 a.m.

Arrest: David Shuman, 29, was arrested for violating probation, Sagamore Drive, 8:13 a.m.

FRIDAY, May 15

Car Accident: A caller reported a car had crashed into a telephone pole. The car was towed; National Grid was on the scene, Lowell Street, 4:43 p.m.

Downed Wires: A caller reported a low wire across the street from 3 Cuba St., an officer reported that the Verizon wire is high enough for traffic, Cuba Street, 5:11 p.m.

Well Being Check: A caller reported a man lying on their front lawn talking to himself. The Fire Department requested an evaluation, Hall Avenue, 1:23 p.m.

Family Offense: A caller reported a child walking alone. An officer located the child’s guardian, the child had left through a door they thought was locked, Brookside Drive, 10:48 a.m.


Reported Death: A caller reports she believes her husband passed away, Olympia Way, 6:18 p.m.

Disorderly person/disturbance: A 911 caller reported a domestic incident between a man and a woman. When the police arrived, they found a woman with a bloody hand who would not provide any further information. Officers reported that there was an argument and not a domestic relationship, River Road, 9:54 p.m.

Assault: A Dunkin’ employee reported a fight between three females inside the business, Lowell Street, 4:37 p.m.

Animal Complaint: A caller reported a possible rabid possum in the road; the Animal Control Office took the animal to River Road Animal Hospital, Greenwood Road, 8:09 a.m.

SUNDAY, May 17

Suspicious Package: An employee reports finding a suspicious substance in a package. Officers disposed of the package, Main Street, 10:09 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A resident reported that a man who says he is from Domino's has been banging on their door. The male party was described as a black male with a beard who left in a gray SUV. Officers checked the area and didn’t find anyone, Chandler Road, 12:20 a.m.

Scam: Caller reported an online scam, Dawn Circle, 8:52 a.m.

MONDAY, May 18

Well Being Check: Caller reported that there was a resident at their house who was suicidal, she had a video on her phone of the person with a knife. The police pinged the man’s cell phone and found out that he had checked himself in to Lawrence General Hospital, South Main Street, 11:23 p.m.

Motor Vehicle Theft: A caller reported that his brother’s truck was stolen from his driveway on Ballard Road by a Hispanic male in a red sweatshirt. The caller said that he and his brother drove after the stolen truck down River Road eventually onto Brookside Drive where they blocked the man in. He then started crashing into them with the stolen truck. The caller then said the man ran off into the woods. Police later found him near Spring Valley Drive. He was taken into custody, Brookside Drive, 5:44 p.m.

Larceny of bicycle: owner is not able to locate bike, Brookside Drive, 8:08 a.m.


Officer Request: A caller reported that he is being blackmailed by someone he met on Tinder, Chestnut Street, 4:13 p.m.

Downed Wires: A caller reported low hanging wires about 4 feet off the ground. An officer placed caution tape in the area and notified Comcast, Lansbury Lane, 5:15 p.m.

Motor Vehicle Vandalism: A caller reported that their car was vandalized overnight, Bellevue Road, 9:42 a.m.

Mental Health: A caller called in to report that someone broke in during the night and stole clothes and coats, Harvard Road, 8:38 a.m.


Motor Vehicle Theft: A caller reported their vehicle was stolen. The plates were entered into the National Crime Information Center’s database, Railroad Street, 7:11 p.m.

Car Accident: A caller reported a crash with possible injuries. The Fire Department was dispatched and two tow trucks were ordered, Union Street, 5:07 p.m.

Assist Other Agency: The Massachusetts State Police requested assistance from the Andover Police Department after a Hispanic male and a woman took off into the woods during a motor vehicle stop on the highway. Officers couldn’t find them, their car was taken into custody by the police, Federal Street, 4:12 p.m.

Fire Assist: The police assisted the Fire Department with a possible vehicle fire, Strawberry Hill Road, 3:58 p.m.
